Justification:
Equipment purchases through this project include replacement equipment that has exceeded its useful life cycle and for which replacement parts have become more difficult to procure as well as additional equipment necessary to meet the operational and support needs of ANC. Old equipment is failing more frequently, resulting in increased labor and operating costs. Replacement equipment will support meeting minimum operational requirements, minimize delays and provide a safer environment for aircraft and the traveling public. The project supports meeting Part 139 requirements for removal of snow from priority surfaces, reducing costs, and improving safety. There will be separate bids for each type of equipment ordered. Bid opening dates will vary.
