Description:
Reconstruct approximately 5,000 feet of the Tug Road from Taxiway Alpha to A Concourse. Project includes, new structural section, drainage improvements and pavement markings.

Justification:
This segment of the tug road system is the primary access point to the terminal, north airpark, east airpark, and south airpark. This section of the tug road was constructed in 2001. The existing asphalt is showing signs of distress including rutting and longitudinal / transverse cracking. Field Maintenance has extended the life of this asphalt by performing preventative maintenance. If this project is not completed the roadway will continue to deteriorate causing an increase of potholes requiring more expensive maintenance and possible damage to vehicles using the roadway.
