Justification:
The lights were installed around 1990 and are having issues. The 2022 Statewide 10 year lighting priority assessment categorized the lights as a #1 priority. Lights can be replaced as part of the erosion control project or a repaving project. Given the natural challenges that exist in operating at this airport, having lights fail is not something we would want there. Section 5.8.1 of the DUT Master Plan Update also recommends upgrading the lighting with the next project.
