The Point Hope Airport is in danger of damage to the runway and runway safety area due to active beach erosion. Realigning the runway will extend the life of the facility.This project was scored at the November 2000 APEB-Airfield evaluation meeting as the Point Hope Airport Erosion Control Project (score: 96).
