Justification:
Bethel is a hub airport for 26 spoke airports that are off the road system; the 2016 AMP needs to be reviewed on a more frequent basis to make sure the plan is still the most efficient plan for the airport and its users. Boeing 737-800 aircraft have been flying into BET for about two years. The 2016 AMP did not forecast this larger aircraft nor did it include intermodal connections and a noise analysis; however, a noise analysis was identified as being “likely required”.
Notes:
AIP Handbook (Order 5100.38D, Change 1) Policies: Help identify development necessary to support the new critical aircraft (a)(4); update intermodal connections available near the airport (b)(5), (b)(6), and (g)(1); develop a noise analysis of the surrounding neighborhoods (c)
