Justification:
Hi Paul, This is Brian Castle from Craig. I have a question about the logging road that is at the southern end of the Klawock Airstrip. It has never been developed and was built when the trees were removed at that end of the runway. It goes down almost to the water and could possibly be used to bring seaplanes up onto the runway and ultimately to airport hangars. The reason I'm inquiring about this is the fact that myself and another pilot have heavy equipment that we could use to make that happen, with no cost to the state. Of course, we would need the permission of the state. I would like to entertain this conversation and start a dialog about maybe getting something done. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Brian Castle
Notes:
The other closest places for dry dock maintenance are Ketchikan and Wrangell. Seaplanes are an important part of the island.
