Estimated Cost:
$337,342
Description:
Replace culverts across the runway and drain water away so as to minimize any standing water. Or eliminate/abandon the culverts and use fill and grading to direct flow away from the runway and into established drainages.

Short

Justification:
The culverts are 30-35 years old and we do not want to wait until they fail. This would be a good need to solve during a runway repaving project. Standing water is a bird attractant, which is a huge problem in Klawock.
