Description:
This project would provide a cover along the length of the terminal building including a portion of the terminal access road and the first row of handicap parking in the terminal parking lot. The cover would also be extended along the sidewalk to the terminal bus plaza which is the location for ground transportation services. Other improvements include CCTV cameras, lighting, new terminal vestibule doors and carpeting and revised handicap parking stall ramps.

Justification:
Establishing covered walkways, stairs and ADA accessible ramps will provide pedestrian safety by addressing snow removal that’s limited in any timely response during snow events. This will ensure walkways and crosswalks are clearly delineated for pedestrians accessing the terminal as well as reducing and incidents pertaining to slips and falls. Having these areas covered will help maintain ADA compliance, reduce injuries and labor costs.
