Description:
This project proposes to rehabilitate the operating surfaces at the Kalskag Airport including the runway and runway safety area, taxiway and taxiway safety area, and apron. Visual aids will be replaced including the runway and taxiway lighting systems, primary wind cone, and supplemental wind cone. The existing, partial perimeter fence will be replaced and extended. Portions of the airport access road will be relocated/realigned. A new, single-bay, heated, snow removal equipment building (SREB) will be constructed and the rotating beacon will be relocated from the roof of the existing SREB to a tip-down pole.

Justification:
A new heated SREB is needed to replace an existing, unheated SREB which has an exposed dirt floor to house AIP funded equipment. The Airport Beacon will be relocated from the roof of the existing SREB to a tip-down pole.
