Justification:
The existing gate only allows 2 inches of clearance on each side when bringing the broom onto the airport and the broom must be angled to get even the 2 inch clearances. Eventually, they will damage a post and the deer will get onto the runway. The gate needs to be automated because there is a lot of vehicle traffic through this gate and there are a lot of deer. An open gate is the only way deer can enter the airport and the consequences can be deadly. Without gate automation, gates are likely to be left open with no ability to trace back to the person who left it open.
