Justification:
Heavy maintenance is needed at this airport for safety. The airfield lighting system has not been updated since the airport was constructed and is beyond its useful life (10 years). Lighting modifications occurred in 2009 during the construction of a new runway, taxiway, apron, and access road. Funding has been awarded for surface preservation of the operational surfaces. Surface preservation includes preventative maintenance and temporary repairs to address pot holes, ruts, soft spots, and minor subsidence. The last surface maintenance grant was awarded in 2012.
Notes:
Need originated from 12/31/2019 CIP Datasheet.
