Description:
Rehabilitate the runway, taxiway, safety areas, apron, and airport access road. Reconstruct the RW and TW lighting, rotating beacon, segmented circle, lighted wind cone, and replace signs. Expand the apron to accommodate installation of a new triple-bay SREB under a separate APEB nomination. Construct drainage improvements, replace the culverts along the access road, including a large diameter culvert, and adjust the access road profile so it no longer penetrates the Part 77 surface.

Justification:
The community is located on Nunivak Island and the airport is the only year round access. The airport surfaces are in poor condition and the surface course is missing entirely in some areas. The lighting system is failing and is beyond its service life and needs replacement. The airport access road is in poor condition and needs to be rehabilitated to preserve function. A section of the airport access road is subject to seasonal flooding prohibiting access to the airport, a large diameter culvert at this location will be replaced along with raising a section of the access road to address drainage issues. This project will improve safety, airfield operations, and maintenance operations.
