Need Name: Kasigluk Airport Improvements
Type:
Funding Source:
Category:
Sub Category:
Estimated Cost: $8,648,910
Description: Place, shape, and compact six to eight inches of crushed aggregate surface course on the runways, taxiways, aprons, and safety areas. Repair or replace the lighting systems. Apply dust palliative to surfaces.replace the wind cone poles, the segmented circle, and the beacon assembly; rehabilitate the airport access road; repair lighting system
Priority: Mid
Need Origination: Other
Justification: The runways, taxiways, RSA, and aprons have sinking areas with standing water with differential settlement. The existing crushed aggregate surface course at these airports has diminished; application of new surface course will significantly reduce maintenance costs and provide an increase in M&O efficiency as it is more costly to maintain a runway with negligible surface course.
Notes: For Spending Plan
