Justification:
Scammon Bay airport experiences frequent flooding. Flood data from the 2013 Scammon Bay Flood Repair project showed that water levels rose to an elevation of 13 feet. The airport was declared as a disaster area by FEMA . Funding was awarded to rehabilitate the airport back to pre-disaster conditions only. The integrity and safety of the lighting system has been compromised by frequent flooding but was not eligible for replacement through FEMA funding.
