Description:
This project is a reevaluation of the original project that met the APEB in 1999. This project will resurface both gravel runways, taxiway, runway safety area, and apron. Reshape crown, shoulders, taxiway, apron and safety areas. Add dust palliative and compact. Replace the Medium Intensity Lighting system, wiring and related fixtures due to continual failures from ground soils/surfaces seasonal frost heaving on the main runway and taxiway. Install new lighting system on the cross-wind runway. Replace all cones, markers and tie downs. Light existing wind cone and clear brush obstructions.

Justification:
The runway surface has become rutted and original surface materials have soft areas with ponding water. Providing a new gravel surface will greatly enhance the ability to maintain the runway year round. Runway lighting will enhance safety by improving the reliability of the service during inclement weather and night operations.
