Justification:
Aug 2016 inspection noted: regular patching not done and surface does not appear to have dust palliative.
Notes:
Additional notes from Chevak Mayor Richard Tuluk cityofchevak_mayor@yahoo.com (summer of 2018): Two areas of concern were the material on top of the runway gets soft during spring time or during thawing and are in the area of the each end of the runway. This causes aircrafts safety and therefore have to cancel flights coming into Chevak until the area gets dried enough from thawing. Although this is being addressed by Alaska DOT to do runway renovation project soon.
